Foundation for Agency Management Excellence (FAME)
In 1994, The Council founded The Foundation for Agency Management Excellence (FAME) a 501(c)(3) charitable educational organization. The Council founded FAME to promote leadership and excellence in the agent/broker community through agency management education, training, and research.
In 2006 FAME launched a scholarship program with the intentions of encouraging more young people to consider the field of risk management and insurance as a profession. Looking ahead, FAME's goal is to build a true industry-wide scholarship program. FAME would like to expand to other universities with strong insurance programs all around the country and one day increase the size of each scholarship.
In addition to a scholarship program committed to bringing new young talent to our business, The Foundation for Agency Management Excellence funds a variety of industry publications. Several studies and reports have been financed by FAME such as "It's All About Risk: The High-Stakes World of Commercial Insurance."
FAME is guided by a volunteer board of directors. Below is the current list of the full FAME Board.
