About our Board Advisory Committees
The Council’s Advisory Committees guide our leadership on steps the association can take to evolve member businesses, strengthen industry relationships and the broader community, and expose members to new ways of thinking.
Please note that our intention is to create a pipeline of engaged members to help advise The Council’s Board of Directors on the association’s strategy. Depending on the term limits of existing committee members, there may not be an immediate seat available, however we do add new members to each committee annually.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for a Board Advisory Committee would:
- Bring unique experiences and viewpoints to the table, acknowledging that different perspectives are critical to growing and evolving member businesses.
- Collaborate and fully participate in the sharing of best practices and new ideas.
- Be ready to challenge themselves and others to look at their businesses through a different lens.
Below you will find additional details on the scope, eligibility and participation requirements for each Advisory Committee. If, after reading about each committee, you would like to submit a nomination for one or more of your colleagues, you may proceed to the submission form.
