Graphic Designer
Shayla Pham first joined The Council as a Summer 2022 Intern and transitioned into the position of Graphic Designer following her internship. Shayla graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a BFA in Graphic Design and a Minor in Painting & Printmaking in the Spring just before starting at The Council. Here, she assists in all on-going and new marketing initiatives across all departments, designs digital & print materials, and assists in design & layout for Leader’s Edge magazine. She has a passion for sustainable design and researched how to make her own papers and inks out of recycled and natural resources for her senior thesis—and continues to do so in her current art practice outside of work.

Secret (well, not so secret) obsession: The Sims 4
Who would play me in a movie: Scarlett Johansson
If I were to retire tomorrow, I would… find a hundred new ways to fold, print, and produce books + zines (sustainably, of course)
