The rate at which coronavirus is spreading—now to 23 countries outside of China—presents a test case for real-time communication between multiple stakeholders located around the world. There are already complaints on the lack of information flowing out of China on the outbreak along with concerns relating to the country’s method of diagnosis. Given that scientists know very little about the respiratory illness, the continuous flow of accurate information is one of the most critical ways to manage risk.
