Now in its 23rd year, EBLF is the premier event convening brokers, carriers and strategic benefits partners in the employer-sponsored health insurance space.
EBLF is your annual opportunity to meet with market leaders from across the country – in one place at one time. Over the course of several days, attendees conduct private meetings with their most-valued business partners, build relationships through purposeful networking events and learn more about the evolution of the business landscape and healthcare market. Our featured speakers will be NBA Hall of Famer, entrepreneur and philanthropist, Earvin “Magic” Johnson and Amy Walter, Political Analyst and Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of the Cook Political Report.

The Council Urges USDA to Protect Crop Insurance from Budget Cuts
The Council joined other insurance industry and agricultural industry trade associations on a letter to Department of Agriculture Secretary, Tom Vilsack, requesting the department to protect crop insurance from any harmful budget cuts for FY25 as both the White and Congress begin FY25 budget talks. “As the challenges for America’s farmers and ranchers continue to grow,” The Council’s letter states, “we believe crop insurance as a safety net is only becoming more important to stability in rural America and a secure domestic food supply.”

Council Board Chair Keith Schuler, CEO of InterWest Insurance Services, recently joined The Council Academy in hosting an info session on the Insurance Professional School for Property/Casualty. Schuler was joined by InterWest Sales leadership and discussed the benefit of the program for early-career professionals who need a strong foundational knowledge of commercial insurance brokerage. The Council has made a few recent changes to the program, which were discussed during the call:
