Aon Risk Solutions announced Monday that James C. Trainor was appointed the new senior vice president of its Cyber Solutions Group. Trainor had a venerated career at the Federal Bureau of Investigation, spanning 20 years of service. He most recently led the Cyber Division, and will leave the FBI as its highest-ranking cyber expert yet.
Trainor’s main focus was on combating ransomware and other emerging forms of cybercrime, and spearheading high-profile investigations that dealt with threats against national security. He brings his “unparalleled experience and knowledge,” as explained by Aon Chief Executive Mike O’Connor, to his new position, where he will shape Aon’s overall cyber strategy by working closely with colleagues across technology, system integration, risk transfer and advisory to ensure a holistic and strong approach.
