The Hidden Fee Disclosure Act – which was supported by The Council – passed the House Education and the Workforce Committee with flying colors during a markup session on Wednesday July 12. 39 members of Congress voted in favor of the act, with just one opposed.
The legislation would insert significant transparency into the pharmaceutical supply chain by clarifying that pharmacy benefits managers (PBMs) and third-party administrators (TPAs) are currently required to disclose all direct and indirect compensation they receive as part of servicing a group health plan.
